workshop

Working from my small workshop in Surrey I make mainly pendants, brooches, and earrings in sterling silver. All my pieces are fully hallmarked by the London Assay Office.

I don’t do production runs or take commissions (* but see below), rather I let ideas come to me and then try to turn them into silver, often with the help of semi-precious stones and enamel. Sometimes it works, often it doesn’t - the ones that worked (in my opinion!) are on this website.

Most pieces are one-off, although occasionally I make three or four similar pieces in a series. Series pieces are all individually numbered, so you know how many I made and which one you have.

All parts of the jewellery (except chains) are hand-made by me. Even for the chains, I make the end-fittings and the clasps.

I take my inspiration from many different sources. One of my favourite areas for inspiration is modernist art and architecture from the 1940’s-50’s-60s, such as Ben Nicholson, Mark Rothko, and Barbara Hepworth. I’m also fascinated by stained glass, and several pieces are based around church or cathedral stained glass, particularly modern glass.

Please take a look at pieces. If there’s anything you like, you can purchase through the link underneath the photo. You’ll find all the terms and conditions in the legal stuff section.

* Although I don’t take commissions, if there is a ring that you like, I can make one specially for you in your size. Also, pendant chains can be supplied to a custom length to suit you. Just contact me!
